Special Issue Information

Dear fellow researchers.

The intestinal microbiota is the collection of organisms that live in the human digestive tube. It is an autonomous organ that provides a healthy and supportive environment, and has recently been categorized as a second brain for its active role. The combination of biological events that occur in the gastrointestinal tract under the control of the gut microbiota can be studied to improve health quality, especially as it relates to metabolic diseases.

In this special issue entitled: “Molecular interactions between elements of the gut microbiota are the future of health quality”.

We welcome a variety of articles, such as conceptual and empirical articles, reviews, critical commentaries, and descriptive analyses for submission to this special issue. We will accept manuscripts from different disciplines that address topics relevant to the scope of this issue, such as the various biological activities of the intestinal microbiota: Anti-diabetic, anti-inflammatory, anti-cancer, biofilm, adhesion and others, with or without the intervention of various extracts and drugs.
