Dear Colleagues,
This special issue collects peer-reviewed papers presented at the Seventh Scientific Conference for Postgraduate Engineering Research (SCPER2025), held 3–4 December 2025 at the Technical Engineering College – Baghdad. It highlights cutting-edge contributions in chemical process engineering and sustainable systems, reflecting the multidisciplinary scope of SCPER, including but not limited to materials chemistry and synthesis, environmental chemical engineering, wastewater treatment, renewable energy integration, nano-materials, and advanced reactor design.
In aiming to foster knowledge exchange between emerging researchers and industry practitioners, this issue features original studies on:
- Innovative separation techniques in the oil and petrochemical industries
- Smart materials and 3D printing applications
- Chemical process optimization using AI and data-driven approaches
- Development of functional materials for energy applications
- Life‐cycle analysis and sustainability assessment of chemical processes
By offering these advances, we seek to accelerate the adoption of sustainable engineering solutions and foster future research collaborations across academia and industry.
