Advanced Engineering Technologies and Intelligent Management

Special Issue Information
Dear Colleagues,
The escalating global demand for modern buildings and infrastructure has exacerbated pressing challenges related to sustainability, efficiency, and resilience. These issues are reflected in rising project complexity, lifecycle energy consumption, resource inefficiency, and vulnerabilities in structural safety and operational management. In response, the integration of advanced engineering technologies and intelligent management systems has become essential to transforming the construction industry. This Special Issue, “Advanced Engineering Technologies and Intelligent Management”, seeks to showcase high-impact research and pioneering practical solutions that address these multifaceted challenges through innovation and digitalization.
This Special Issue aims to provide a comprehensive platform for presenting the latest advances in intelligent management tools and advanced engineering technologies that collectively promote smarter, more efficient, and sustainable infrastructure development. We encourage interdisciplinary contributions that explore the synergies between emerging domains such as artificial intelligence, Internet of Things (IoT), digital twins, robotics, additive manufacturing, and intelligent project management systems. A core emphasis is placed on the implementation of cyber-physical systems, real-time monitoring, machine learning-driven decision support, and automated control strategies throughout the project lifecycle.
We welcome the submission of high-quality original research papers and critical review articles that address, but are not limited to, the following interconnected themes:
• Intelligent sensing and monitoring technologies for infrastructure;
• Digital twins and cyber-physical systems in construction;
• Artificial intelligence (AI)and big data analytics for engineering management;
• Automation, robotics, and additive manufacturing in construction;
• Smart infrastructure and resilient urban systems;
• IoT-enabled facility and asset management;
• Decision support systems for sustainable engineering;
• Human–machine collaboration and operator assistance systems;
• AI in assessment, design, management, and construction;
