New frontiers in Green-Hydrogen Production and Utilization: Materials and Technologies

Special Issue Information
This special issue of Applied Chemical Engineering, “New frontiers in Green-Hydrogen Production and Utilization: Materials and Technologies", is aimed at addressing the main current researches in the fields of material science, process engineering and catalysis related to the production of renewable or green-hydrogen and its use in various industrial end energetic sectors, consistently with the European Commission’s net zero emissions scenarios for 2050.
Therefore, we invite contributions in the form of original research papers, detailed reviews, or mini-reviews in, but not limited to, the specialized fields outlined below:
· Renewable hydrogen production
· Electrolysis
· Photo-chemical processes for H2 production and use
· Hydrogenation/Dehydrogenation processes for H2 storage and generation
· Direct energy generation for stationary and mobile applications
· Direct reduction processes for the steelmaking industry
· Hydrogenation processes for green-fuels manufacturing
· CCUS technologies through H2 utilization (CO2 hydrogenation, co-elctrolysis, photo-reduction)
· H2 use in chemical industry for manufacturing ammonia and fertilizers.
We believe that this Special Issue will provide an excellent platform for researchers to share their newest scientific advancements in the field.
